SAA8112HL - Optical black processing

SAA8112HL has optical black processing function.

The first processing block of the SAA8112HL is a digital clamp . It is used to align the optical black level to zero or to any arbitrary value.

When the digital clamp is set active, the average value of the black is measured in the programmable optical black window and then subtracted from the input signal. A separate measurement is done for odd and even pixels and for odd and even frames.

When the digital clamp is set inactive, it is possible to subtract a fixed value from the incoming data stream. A different value can be programmed for odd/even pixels, odd/even fields and odd/even lines.

The optical black window has a fixed size of 16 pixels (horizontally) by 128 (vertically), although the position of this window is fully programmable.

The Description of SN74LVC2G125

SN74LVC2G125 is an electronic component that is a dual bus buffer gate, designed for 1.65-V to 5.5-V VCC operation. This device features dual line drivers with 3-state outputs. The outputs are disabled when the associated output-enable (OE) input is high.
NanoFree™ package technology is a major breakthrough in IC packaging concepts, using the die as the package.
To ensure the high-impedance state during power up or power down, OE should be tied to VCC through a pullup resistor; the minimum value of the resistor is determined by the current-sinking capability of the driver.
This device is fully specified for partial-power-down applications using Ioff. The Ioff circuitry disables the outputs, preventing damaging current backflow through the device when it is powered down.

Dollar Rate - Affect You?

“The drop in the dollar exchange rate has ceased impacting us. It has already passed to another stage, to where it is killing us, choking. Even still, they raised our taxes, the municipal tax (arnona) soared, fuel rose 7%, and if all that wasn’t enough, now they throw a raise in the minimum wage at us. They’re killing us slowly, and the situation with the dollar doesn’t help the health of any manufacturer.” Electronic components manufacturer RH Technologies chairman Yakov Rosenberg told “Globes” this morning.

But Rosenberg added, “We are continuing to battle - but there is nowhere anymore. We are beginning to take into calculation possible cuts to the workforce, because there is nothing to do - sometimes it is better to cut off a leg in order to save the rest of the body. We need a damage assessment in light of the economic decrees which have frequently fallen on us recently.”
